Buddy still energetic after a long hike

We have received 7” rain in 2 days, with over 10” this week, and more on the way.  The resulting fog has stolen our mountaintops!  Here is our dog Buddy, still energetic after a long hike.

This reminds me of the scene in the movie Gladiator when Russell Crowe is walking through the wheat field.

Toly the Farm Dog

Posted by Theresa

Toly and the chickens

Toly was meant to be on a farm.  On Day 3, he was completely off leash all day, even around the chickens.  Today, while we worked on clearing a trail, he’d wandered off for a bit, then come bounding happily back to "check in."  Then off he went again.  He already comes when called and is housebroken.  This morning, Toly was FIERCE chasing our neighbor’s cows off our land!

Introducing the dogs to the chicks as I exited the car with them in a box.

Removing a Stump

Posted by Theresa

Shadow and chickens watching while I remove a stump

Labored several hours today to remove a big stump that I was tired of stepping over 3-4 times a day. Here, Shadow pretends HE dug the hole, and the chickens pretend they helped by being under my feet all day looking for tasty bugs in newly dug up dirt.
