Mushrooms Galore

Posted by Timm

It was shroomy this weekend at Little Wolf Nature Preserve.  Often in wet periods there will be an explosion of mushrooms.  As you hike the trails, it seems like around every corner there is a new patch of mushrooms, different than any you have seen so far.  It’s hard to believe there are so many types of mushrooms in the world, much less the variety found just here in the Preserve.  Of course we don’t the eat any of the mushrooms.  That’s like playing Russian roulette with a six shooter and five bullets.
