Joel’s Rocky Rock

Little Joel was unaware that special visitors can name features in Little Wolf Nature Preserve. Naming is often a serendipitous experience, usually the result of the visitor taking a special fancy to something in the Preserve.

When Joel came upon this mini-boulder, he did what every healthy boy would do in his position: climb it! After he scrambled up, we asked him, "Where’s Joel?" To which he replied, "On Joel’s Rocky Rock." And so it was to be!

You will find Joel’s Rocky Rock near the head of the Wetlands Trail intersection with Beaver Pond Loop. Just try to walk by and not climb aboard!
