Feature Type: Water Trail: Chute Trail Region: Lower Wetlands Elevation: 1080′ |
Jimmy Pond drains through the Lower Wetlands in a small channel, which opens up over some hard rock to form The Chute, a beautiful and near-constant 10-foot waterfall. The water continues on through another tight channel, causing it to roar loudly after a good rain. There is a bench next to the falls, which is a great place to sit and escape, as the only thing you can hear is the rush of the water.

Chute Channel

Further downstream the Chute cuts into a narrow channel.
